granite countertop care

Granite is a beautiful product of nature and millions of years in the making. While it is a very durable and hard surface it must be properly cared for, Here are some important tips to remember when caring for your granite:

  • Do not use products that contain lemon, vinegar or other acids on your granite countertops. They may etch the surface and cause damage.
  • Too much cleaner or soap may leave a film and cause streaks.
  • Clean stone surfaces with a few drops of a neutral cleaner, available from your local Home Improvement Center
  • Rinse the surface thoroughly after washing with a soap solution and dry with a soft cloth.
  • Do not use scouring powders or creams; these products contain abrasives that may scratch the surface.
